You can, but we would not suggest it. If you paint pressure-treated wood too quickly, it will peel much faster. It is recommended that you wait at least 6 months if the wood is pressure treated. Otherwise, it will peel because of the chemical preservatives in the fence.
The typical pressure-treated fence will look immaculate for up to 20 years. By simply pressure-washing your wood every 5 years, you can expect it to look as good as new for years to come.
6 × 6 wooden fence posts offer far more durability and typically last much longer than the 4 × 4 alternative. We always recommend using the most durable materials available so that you can get the most out of your new fence.
A typical residential fence can be completed in less than 3 days. This includes; tearing down and cleaning up of an existing fence, surveying the property line and confirming with neighbours, digging post holes to a 4 ft depth, pouring quality concrete foundation, framing, adding fence boards and finish by adding doors.
Can we make it, yes! Should we make it? That depends on the by-laws of your town or city. We request that all of our clients looking for higher fences do speak to their local by-law office for clarification before we begin construction of extra tall privacy fencing.
